Choosing Blinds for a Conservatory or Day Room

As we come into the Summer months one of the most common questions we get asked is what blinds are suitable for a conservatory or day room?

If your conservatory is getting too hot to use then pleated roof blinds are a solution with many of our fabrics having a reflective coating specifically designed for this purpose.  They will help keep you cooler in the summer but also have the added bonus of insulation in the winter months.

Cellular or Honeycomb pleated fabrics take this insulation a step further by creating an air pocket between two layers of fabric.  Pleated blinds are also available to fit side windows in a number of products including Perfect Fit, Intu, Beadfit, free-hang and tensioned.

Perfect Fit are ideal for conservatories as they fit neatly into the frame with no drilling to create a tidy and stylish solution. Available in pleated, venetian, roller and Vision. Roller gives you the option of having normal roller blinds to the sides and Perfect Fit to your doors, combined with blackout fabric this is another good way of keeping the room cooler. Venetian are versatile and stylish and offers good light control with a tilt of the louvres but can be easily pulled up to allow maximum light into your room. Vision or day and night blinds add an ultra-modern finish for when you really want to create the wow factor.

 Vertical blinds are still a popular choice, ideal for covering wide areas of glass and can be a stylish design feature with the added bonus of completely stacking back when shading is not required. Offering a great amount of privacy verticals come in a wide range of up to date fabrics for you to choose from, also available in a reflective option and if your louvres become damaged or dirty we can simply replace them for you.
